In The News
Welcome to our new weekly series, where we review some of the highlights of events that have happened all over the world. We would also love to hear from you, regarding what topics you would love to see us cover, or maybe there is some interesting news you might have stumbled upon, then please let us know.
Democracy Dies In Barkness
This is probably the most funniest and completely insane news that has happened this week, and I just could not help but share to give everyone an incite to what actual real new agencies are calling breaking world news. The saga began when the Daily Wire tweeted a meme of President Trump awarding a bronze paw print medal to the dog who chased down Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Trump then re-posted the image with the caption "American Hero", the media literally called the White House to confirm if this dog award ceremony actually took place. China Selling Surveillance Tech
The Chinese tech company Huawei, who has been in the news recently regarding corporate espionage dating back a few years which then led to the US sanctions a moth or two ago, are back making headlines. Evidence has been found that Huawei has been selling high-tech surveillance systems to countries looking to cramp down on civil unrest, but critics say the equipment drastically limits personal freedom. The Serbian government installed the Chinese camera system in its capital of Belgrade, in the midst of wide-spread protests in the city. (Click image below to read more...)
GOT Directors Walk Away From Star Wars Deal
After the news recently where directors of the Game of Thrones franchise came out telling the world that they didn't have a clue as to what they were doing with GOT or even how they got the job from HBO. Maybe the reason they got the job to begin with is because daddy Benioff is the former head of Goldman Sachs. Now they have apparently parted ways with Disney, lucas Films and the 9 figure deal that was on the table due to "creative differences". Yeah right, Disney probably made the call on the spot when they heard the news of the reality behind how the two completely screwed up GOT, and there is no way they can afford any more mistakes or risks with the already failing Star Wars franchise. Google buys Fitbit for $2.1 billion
Here is yet another major company that Google has bought, this time it is Fitbit the popular fitness tracker company, that focuses on wearable devices with massive health and wellness data. I'm really not it's all that great having one company in the world handling everyone's date, this is a recipe for disaster, and and this is how we end up like China. Alphabet or Google as we mostly know them, has spent years trying and largely failing to break into the wearables market with its Wear OS platform. (Click image below to read more...)
Veritaseum to Pay Back $8 Million From Illegal ICO
The CEO of blockchain firm Veritaseum LLC and New York-registered Veritaseum Inc., Reggie Middleton, was ordered to pay $8.4 million by a New York court. According to the report, the judge has approved a motion for a consent judgment in a securities fraud case against several defendants involved in Veritaseum. They are also jointly liable for disgorgement of $7,891,600, which represents a part of illegally earned profits. (Click image below to read more...)

What a great idea to go over world events! Who would have thought of such a thing! Google buying Fitbit is huge btw. Puts them into serious competition with Apple on a whole new level.
wow! This is one hell of a post. I totally loved the information you provided. I don't think I would be able to get all of that at once. Good job. Thanks
Thank you for this summary of world news. The one that interested me the most is the one related to surveillance technology or espionage from China through Huawei. Anything that is surveillance imposed and coming from power levels is disgusting and repugnant to me. It is the Big Brother of Orwell in 1984.
In North America we have the news of the approval in Parliament of the beginning of the impeachment of Trump; and in South America, the electoral results in Argentina (the majority once again opting for those who bankrupt the country), in Colombia, particularly in the Mayor's Office of Bogotá (winner of a woman with a great academic curriculum and independent character), the decision to run a second round in elections in Uruguay and the fight in Bolivia for the revision of the electoral results, since fraud in favor of Evo Morales is suspected.
Greetings.
World News keep burying any hint of hope that things will get better for humanity.
I think that more attention should be given to the chinese involvement in política, military and financial matters around the world. This is as scary as Google buying more compañías that give this mega corporación access to more info from people.
Also, conflictos in Latin América, if not stopped this year will replicate the venezuelann disaster
