Homemade soap - one man's lavender is another man's sage.
A couple days ago on a walk, I came across some beautiful lavender plant..
"Lavender"
I love lavender and always pick a bit and rub all over my hands.
Salvia clevelandii
Turns out, this wasn't lavender at all, but Cleveland Sage. I tried Google lens from the photo. I love technology!! It has its medicinal uses, namely for pain. You can Google more on that, I'm hardly a mystic myself, but goof has ya covered.

In any event, this time after washing my hands on a bundle, I picked a handful to bring home for the nice scent.
And then I remembered
I had a bunch of either wax or soap laying around from years ago that was never used... Turns out that it was soap!!
Grabbed a couple Tupperware containers to pour into as molds, and microwaved the soap base and added the "Lavender", it came out beautifully!!!
I couldn't have wished for a better outcome, it works amazing and leaves a slight scent (which could be the 5-10 drops of actual lavender or eucalyptus essential oils that was added at my daughters suggestion.
You can buy the base on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3gllALF (affiliate link, I'll probably get a couple cents when/if you buy).
You thought you were just making soap, but you also made jelly
I got all the jelly :(
