Domain of a function f : is the set of all possible values of x
Notation: Dom ( f )
The path of a function is also known as Range of a function, in this post the term "Range" will be used since it is the best known.
Range of a function f : It is the set of all possible values of and
Notation: Rgo ( f )

In the graph of the following function it is observed that its domain consists of the union of the intervals which is equivalent to the set .Regarding its rank, it is visualized that this corresponds to the positive semi-axis of the ordinate joined with 0, that is:

Square Root function
The square root of x is expressed equivalently in the following two ways:

It is a function whose domain and image is the set (0, + ∞] (the set of all non-negative real numbers).

Sometimes functions are the result of algebraically operating different types of functions, this influences when determining the domain and range of these functions, since in these cases the integration of criteria for the domain of the functions that make up must be considered. the resulting function .
Example:
Find the domain of the following function:
The solution to this problem is obtained by taking into account the domain definition for the Square Root function for the numerator of the f function, this means that 1-x must be greater or equal to 0 (for this root to exist), for this purpose the values of x must be "less than or equal to 1" that is: . On the other hand, the denominator must be different from 0, for which x must be different from 2 and -2. Integrating both conditions (for both the numerator and the denominator, it is concluded that the Dom ( f ) is the interval
Next in the graph we can see that Rgo ( f ) (all possible values of and ) is the interval
