Did someone order a baby? The surgeon will see you now!

A day that will never be forgotten.... We're off to have a baby!! Not me, although I do look 9months pregnant at the mo.

On a cold, damp, Monday morning, I find myself travelling the 30miles to the specialist baby care unit in preparation for our "non-emergency" emergency c-section!

I won't go in to too much detail, but let's just say Mrs W hasn't enjoyed this labour as much as the first... We've had a few ups and downs along the way, but mum and baby have been amazing. We knew from very early on in the pregnancy that a c-section was the only option for delivery and although this at first made Mrs W very upset, for the safety of her AND the baby, she has accepted the decision the doctors made for us.

I'm just happy to be living in an era where science and medicine can atleast give my little girl a fighting chance at life. The option of a natural birth would have meant certain death for our daughter and possibly Mrs W too. So #cheers!! Here's to science 🍻

Me... I'm just sat here thinking of all the positives of a C-section, like:

So, if you don't hear from me for a few days than its probably because I have my hands full with baby number 2! If you do hear from me, it will probably be a quick update post and a few photos of little baby Welshie.

Although we've been reassured hundreds of times, and the consultants are confident everything should go OK, a little prayer wouldn't hurt right now..
