Stepping into a Screensaver!

avatar

Hi guys!

Hope you are well! Still going through and backing up images so thought i'd share some more!

Its not often you get to visit places that just take your breath away and make you believe you are stood in a movie poster or a screen saver! Well when we were in Singapore my husband surprised me with a trip to Bintan, Indonesia!! I had no idea where we were going but that I needed my passport! We got on a short ferry ride to the island and as soon as we stepped off it felt like we were in paradise. From infinity pools to golden beaches to wild monkeys in the trees to insects the size of our hands!! It had it all, it really felt like we were deep in the jungle but also in the lap of luxury at the same time. Hands down THE BEST surprise of my life. Our villa overlooked the sea and as we watched the sun go down from our private pool we could see fishermen bringing in today's catch from the sea and huge bats fly around us. So many sounds we hadn't heard before and inside the villa walls there were lizards everywhere, they made great company when we went to the bathroom!

It was stunning. No other words.

What a nice surprise for you! You have a very thoughtful husband! If you enjoyed that paradise, then you would definitely enjoy French Polynesia! We even had a little lizard or two in each of the bungalows we stayed in too. We are used to them though, as they are very similar to the brown and green anoles which frequent our screened porch in Florida!

We are quite happy to let them live in our screened back porch as they eat up all the mosquitoes for us!
