Oh okay, this is why we have global warming

Countries at the north, aka "First World Countries", are too cold for most rural production. Which is why USA's corn manufactory was always gigantic - lack of options. So they need higher average temperatures.

Forcing global warming by burning forests makes equatorial countries, south america, africa and australia reach intolerable temperatures. But it allows "First World Countries" to meet perfect conditions their rural industries need.

Because they have enough technology to both accelerate global warming and stop it later on, it's safe and profitable for them. Of course, this happens at the cost of billions of lives of humans, animals and plants. But it's safe and profitable for them, so they don't care.
