Calaxy: A Web3 Social Media Option for Creators

Calaxy, also referred to as the creators galaxy, is a Web3 social media app that was co-founded by NBA player Spencer Dinwiddie and it just recently raised $26 million in its latest round.

Calaxy aims to be a space where fans will be able to connect with their favorite content creators, offering a platform that is center to fan engagement which involves Web3 and social tokens.

Calaxy is going to be one more Web3 option that is going to bridge the gap and introduce many new people to this space.

Ultimately if they are successful they will in a significant way help to reimagine the social media experience for both ends, the creator and the viewers.

Dinwiddie is one that hasn't been shy on his views previously about the cryptocurrency space in general.

“If you have a long-term investment strategy and you have a day-to-day job that can get you through five years, 10 years, then look at this as a very long-term type of thing because this asset class isn’t going anywhere,... There will be billionaires made out of this market.” - Dinwiddie in a previous interview on cryptocurrency

The Calaxy app is going to be coming out of beta soon.

Changing the creator economy space

It is going to give people a chance to interact with the blockchain space even though they might not understand the underlying technology involved in the process, helping to onboard more to experience Web3 and its benefits.
