It is easier to learn something new in 2023 than it ever has been before

Unlimited knowledge is here 🧠🧐

The days of not knowing something are long gone. Information is now easily accessible thanks to the advancements of the internet and various other technologies.

No longer is going to college or trade school your only hope of learning something meaningful. It has become as simple as firing up YouTube and searching for anything that you wish to learn about. There is some inaccurate information out there you will have to sift through, but there is also an abundance of real knowledge. The best part is, it doesn't cost a thing. All you need is an internet connection and a device to browse these videos.

Whether you are wanting to learn to edit videos, take photographs, be a public speaker, cut your own hair, maintain a healthy lifestyle, or countless other things. It's all out there. Pretty much every single topic has somebody dedicated to creating content about it which can help you learn anything you desire.

One thing that I love to do is multitask. Why would I just stand there while I wait for my food to cook? It makes much more sense to fire up a video or podcast that is teaching me something. The same goes for when I'm sitting down eating, taking a shower, driving, or at the gym. These are all moments where we can easily fill the void of silence with important information that will make us more knowledgeable.

Screens are everywhere now. Computers, TVs, smartphones, and countless other devices all of us to watch or listen to something no matter where we are. I have my home setup to cater to this that way I can maximize my learning. I've of course got a couple of TVs and a desktop computer. Both of these provide me with plenty of ways to absorb new information.

I also have an iPhone which is one of my favorite ways to watch or listen to something important. I have phone stands in every single area of my home that I frequent. The kitchen, dinner table, my desk, and even in the bathroom. I'm not always listening to something, but I often am.

This whole concept of unlimited information just amazes me so much. This type of thing was unheard of during my childhood. You had to read books, rely on mainstream media, or go to school. There weren't many other options to learn.

With YouTube, you can learn so much. Then there are more advanced digital courses such as what you find on https://www.udemy.com/. All of these are cheaper than paying for tuition and it works around your schedule. Some people give up on learning because they don't have the time or money for it, but now those are no longer valid excuses.

I leave you with a question. What is something that you wish to learn and have you started taking in info about the subject yet? If not, why? You have unlimited resources at your disposal. There is a plethora of ways you can learn to do anything that you dream of. My advice, get started on it as soon as you can.

It's easy to forget just how lucky we are - pretty much anything at our fingertips from music to learning new skills.

Thanks for the reminder that it's not all doom and gloom in the world - it's a great time to be alive!

You are right with the advancement of technology certainly we can learn from anywhere not just from school or books. it is just how we use to learn that matters.

Things have changed drastically from when I was a kid. I'm sure our parents and grandparents don't even recognize reality much anymore.

I've been watching a lot of shorts that give me cool new ideas for iPhone photography.

I had not heard of OpenAI's GPT-4. I am looking into it now and it sounds superior to what we are already provided with ChatGPT. Things are advancing at such a rapid pace.

Awesome! Thanks for posting! Which platform or school do you think is best for learning graphic designing?

I learned everything I know about graphic design on YouTube, but that was back in the 2010-13 time period. I think there are more options now, but Youtube tutorials still remain one of the best options in terms of free learning.

Traditional learning and institutions are dead, in my opinion... and have been for some time. Just my opinion of course.😎

I know some people who are still contemplating going to college and most of the time I wonder why they aren't just spending all of their extra time learning things for free online. We do not have to go into debt to learn something new anymore.

People are slow to realize. Add to that, many are living under the weight of "social expectation". That's one sure way to throw your life away...

There was a time when teachers and educational institutions were limited to know. But nowadays many sites starting from google youtube are helping us a lot to learn about different topics. Now we can know anything very easily. Thanks for sharing a nice topic.

I am learning finances right now. I’m close to buying a house, and learning how to ‘adult’ properly. My parents never really taught me anything so I’m glad the internet exists, so I can research myself.

Parents won't have to take the blame in the future, because now we have unlimited information accessible to everyone.

Haha, but it doesn't absolve them not to participate in teaching. I agree though, children won't be completely limited by what their parents know.

Interesting post, I remember that in the times of my childhood although there was already the internet and computers technology was not as exploited as now, at that time my mom had the famous beige computer, which had that old monitor whose back was wide, in those years it was not so common to seek the answer to everything on the internet, however over time people observed the great power they had, as much as to transmit knowledge to any part of the world, as to offer some service, entertainment, among an innumerable quantity of things, and to maintain connected a whole generation through a screen, really it seems to me very incredible if we observe it from the educational point, it helps us to be more independent and self-sufficient in a great quantity of things, great post!

I was around as the internet started to really expand back in the 90s. We’ve come a long way from dial-up internet. People used to always warn you to not spend to much time on the internet. Now we have millions of people who live their lives mainly through the internet. There are both good and bad things about the internet. I like to focus on the positive and be thankful that we have the opportunity to easily absorb info online.

It is very true, I remember people used to say things like that, now in these times the internet has become an indispensable tool for most people nowadays, working on the internet has become something common for me, I also prefer to focus on the positive and take advantage of the learning and opportunities it can offer you.

These are all moments where we can easily fill the void of silence with important information that will make us more knowledgeable.

Definitely, it's always good to have the option of having an audiobook running when you're busy :) ...

What is something that you wish to learn and have you started taking in info about the subject yet?

I'm determined to become a better writer. I've been reading some of the resources provided in the Inkwell, as well as paying more attention to the structure of sentences and paragraphs when I'm reading books for enjoyment.
