Continued from Part 1...

At some point during my middle school years, I also had an original Xbox, but I really can't remember playing it much.

Later on when I was in high school, besides a Playstation 2, the only other console that I owned was an Xbox 360. I can't remember exactly where I got it from, but I remember that when I got it that it didn't actually work. It didn't display a picture and may have had the whole red ring of death thing going on. I remember reading online at the time about a method to fix it called the towel trick method which involved wrapping towels around the console while it was on. The reason that this would work is that it would heat up the console enough to resolder the joints on the GPU die and I'll be damned if it didn't actually work! I had that console for around 3 months or so before it just finally gave up. I was hooked on Final Fantasy 13 at the time and I never got to beat it after putting around 40 hours into it. I'm still bummed about that. I sold my games and accessories to Gamestop in order to get a PSP which I had for a few months before I got bored with it and ended up selling it. Besides getting a PS4 and returning it after less than a month of having it, that was really the last console that I ever owned.

Back in 2015, I finally got my first ever gaming PC. I bought an HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF and threw in a GTX 1050TI 4GB GPU into it. I really loved that PC. It could play any game that I wanted at the time and it was awesome. I remember that I had two monitors and would usually have Discord up on one of them so I could talk to my friends and have my game up on the other as I played many multiplayer games with my friends at the time, mainly FPS games. I would pretty much be on that thing 24/7 and was really one of the highlights of my gaming life. After deciding that I needed a job and money, I decided to sell it, but sadly my mom ended up destroying it while I was away at a job interview. I didn't press charges at the time since I was living with her, but I'll just say it was a rough month that year.

A month later, I made some good crypto friends and they sent me a total of over $3,000 between giftcards and crypto to buy myself a new gaming PC. I bought an Acer Predator Helios 300. I liked that laptop a lot, but I didn't really play it much. After only having it for less than a month, I decided to drive half way across the country (I still had some money) to meet my online girlfriend who I had been video chatting with nearly everyday around that point. She had a really terrible laptop, but was a hardcore gamer, so I decided to sell it to her and I did. It was great to meet her and I ended up selling it to her for less than half of what I paid for it. Remember... it was still brand new too. She was happy, but after gas and hotels, I ended up pretty much losing money on it. A week after I got back home, she broke up with me, pretty much ghosted me, and I was too broke after the trip to afford another one. Life sucks sometimes, eh?

As you know, I now have a budget gaming PC now. I've written enough about it that I really don't need to write anymore about it in this article lol.

Back to technology, I've actually had the pleasure of working in a few different tech support jobs in my lifetime. While most of my previous jobs have been in retail, I was actually able to work for Apple a couple times as an iOS AppleCare Advisor and I even got to work in Premier Tech Support for Verizon. I even got to work for a couple months in cybersecurity, but that job proved way too tough for me so that's why I left. I left Apple the first time because I got burnt out and the second time was because I found the cybersecurity job. Verizon was fairly fun, but they told me that I had to start doing sales (which I will refuse to ever do) and that's why I left that. Out of my tech support jobs, I liked Apple the best which is funny because I hate Apple products lol. As far as a company goes, I had a great time while I was there!

To kind of wrap things up, I went to school twice for technology. Back in 2011, I went to college online to become a Game Designer as I'd always wanted to make video games. Three months in, they told me what a game designer does and doesn't do and everything that I thought was in that doesn't do category so I decided to cut my losses and leave. The second time I went to college was a few years back and I decided to pursue a general IT degree online. I had a great time while I was there, but while I was on a break from school I'd started a new job and with a lot of new hire training, I'd forgotten to log on one week and due to their rules, they kicked me out.

That's pretty much it as far what you should know about me as it relates to video games and technology (since that's what I write about). This was fun, but man... I'm a bit exhausted now lol. Anyways, thank you so much for reading and I hope you have an awesome rest of your day!
