I see the spot. There is an article I want to focus on though about silver outside the COMEX.

Dr. David Martin would say you are obviously not paying attention.

He is right about most of the Hive users. They are not paying attention. At least not to others. They focus on their own posts. This results is 99% content creators and 1% content consumers. And this explain the general lack of real human comments on the platform.

As a content consumer, I have to deal with the cost of engaging with posts. I seem to run out of power if I am too active. I don't care to maximize my comment length. Just conversing. Maybe costs could be tweaked a bit, but would that encourage spam?

If you interact with the right people (by writing meaningful comments, of course), they support you either by upvoting your comments, or giving you various credits.

The low amount of Resource Credits (RC) is a problem only in the beginning.

I give you some !LUV and !PIZZA.

As for encouraging spam by tweaking the costs, you may be right.

Nowadays my upvote is starting to worth something (recently reached $0.01), and the spammers already started to appear under some of my posts. If the cost of commenting would be less, then there would probably be more spammers.

You have not made a post in four years. That would explain why you have no credits.

When you find good content here, do you promote that content outside Hive? What is @xplosive doing to turn those percentages of yours around?

Producer moonlighting as consumer is what it takes here, there's just not enough traffic to avoid it. You either consume or produce, few do both unless they're forced. One goes up, the other goes down, the more they consume the less production.

Do you promote Hive content outside the platform?

Not outside, but inside.

What is @xplosive doing to turn those percentages of yours around?

I naturally interact with others, and I support others as I can. There is a thing called engagement league. I was the 6th in it last time, and I am often in the top 10.

You either consume or produce, few do both unless they're forced.

This is not true. I do both on the Steem/Hive blockchain for more than 4 years (since 2017.05.17), and I am not forced to do either of them. And I also do both on YouTube. And there are many people, who do this. Especially on YouTube.

On YouTube everyone is interact naturally. Why people cannot do the same on Hive?

On YouTube every content creator (even the smallest and the occasional uploaders) get real human interaction. Why the same cannot happen on Hive?

Good morning @xplosive.

I think it is true dude, I'll just go over the obvious—time. If a producer is producing 12 hours a day, they can consume 12. If they're producing 24/7, they consume zero but they're releasing twice as much content. Only way to produce 24/7 is if you have an audience large enough like that one you mention, YouTube.

I don't know the numbers but the margin between producers and consumers is wide, real wide. I would guess thousands of consumers per each quality product.

What I've been doing lately is sharing Hive content outside Hive. Even if it's with just one person who's not on Hive. The more I do that, the more buzz I'll create hopefully. And doing this, what I'm doing now, encouraging you and anyone else reading this to promote Hive content outside Hive. Shoot, beginning with mine!

Promoting inside the platform is obviously necessary, I'm with you, but we're just promoting the author. Promoting content outside the platform, however, different story. It's essential if we ever plan to build a fan base.
