Russia as the clear world leader in the field of exporting nuclear power generating plants

Russia’s Akademik Lomonosov is the first floating nuclear power plant. It is equipped with two small modular reactors of 40 MW

A very interesting read, As Germany’s Green Dream Becomes A Nightmare, Asia And Russia Power Ahead With Nuclear Power about the different approaches of the west vs the east concerning energy. Long story short, the west has lost it's mind. The East has not.

The standard of living is all about energy. The wealth of a nation and of it's individuals is determined by how much energy they have available. The foolish West,(France is an exception) because of make believe climate changeis closing its coal powered plants, their few remaining nuclear power plants and in some unbelievable cases they're even discussing the destruction of hydroelectric damns in the U.S. North West.

What are they replacing them with? Pipe dreams mostly. (Biden's crack pipes? No, that's something else) The idiots foolishly believe that Bird choppers (windmills which only operate when the wind is blowing not too hard

or not too light, and solar farms, which only operate during the day, for the most part. These are all well and good when the conditions are right. Data has shown that the conditions mostly are not.

Russia is ignoring all that happy horseshit. Russia is not only using but it's exporting nuclear power.

Russia has clearly taken the lead, followed by China, South Korea and Japan. These four nations have mastered and developed native nuclear technologies of their own and are now exporting them. Among them, two behemoths stand out: Russia as the clear world leader in the field of exporting nuclear power generating plants, and China, a rather new kid on the block but with a high potential to quickly evolve as another key player in this field.

The photo is of the world's first floating nuclear powerplant. Well that's not exactly true.)

Over 160 ships are powered by more than 200 small nuclear reactors. Most are submarines, but they range from icebreakers to aircraft carriers

Those are mobile power plants that provide energy for ships at sea. Except for a few they are warships meant to operate under the harshest conditions imaginable. Shipborn nuclear power plants are not new,

The Soviet icebreaker Leninwas the world's first nuclear-powered surface vessel in 1959 and remained in service for 30 years (new reactors were fitted in 1970). It led to a series of larger icebreakers, the 23,500 ton Arktika class of six vessels, launched beginning in 1975

U.S. Nuclear Powered Warships (NPWs)have safely operated for more than 50 years without experiencing any reactor accident or any release of radioactivity that hurt human health or had an adverse effect on marine life.

The great majority of people on the planet live within a few miles of an ocean, sea or navigable river. Those locations would be just perfect for a floating nuclear power plant. Russia has created that market.

Now think about natural natural gas.

Currently Russia is operating 38 reactors at 11 nuclear power plants contributing 20.7% to the production of electric power. The biggest contributor is natural gas, but the country would rather prefer to sell it abroad, where it fetches much higher prices. The latest Federal Target Programme thus envisages a 25–30% nuclear share in electricity supply by 2030, 45–50% by 2050 and 70–80% by the end of the century.

In other words Russia, a land of tremendous resources, has abundant natural gas which they would prefer to sell to other people.

They make more money that way. The question is why would Russia want to start a war? War is bad for business, unless you are a weapons dealer. Why in hell would Russia want to invade Ukraine? They're probably not.

ITEM 1: The Hunt For Red February is on. Stars and Stripes reported, "The U.S. Navy denied operating in Russian territorial waters on Saturday after Russia’s military claimed it chased away a Virginia-class submarine in the Kuril Islands after the American vessel refused an order to surface.

Someone wants to start a war and it doesn't appear to be Russia.

After the age of iron, bronze, gold, we are now in the age of energy. I didn't know about this Russian project. Thanks for sharing.
