1. Project Associate and Senior Project Associate Positions at the Department of Computational and Data Sciences (CDS), IISc

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) now seeks to recruit research associates and senior research associates (PostDocs) under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) at the Department of Computational and Data Sciences (CDS).

Project Associate: B. Tech/M. Tech. in Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Computational and Data Sciences, MS in Mathematics and Computing or equivalent with a strong interest in High-Performance Computing.

Senior Project Associate (Post Doc): Ph. D. in Modelling and simulation, High-Performance Computing etc. Candidates with at least three years of research experience in High-Performance Computing may also apply.

Essential Qualifications:

Deep expertise in C/C++ (E.g., must have excellent knowledge of OOP languages such as C++, JAVA;)

Must have developed and used their own code to solve research problems.

Experience in OpenMP/MPI/GPU-based parallel programming is expected.

Experience in algebraic solvers (Iterative/Multigrid methods) is expected.

In all cases, a strong background in Linux operating system concepts and programming is required. The candidate is expected to have good communication skills (speaking and writing in English) and be willing to work in a team environment.

Salary: Rs. 31,000 - 60,000 p.m.(Depending on experience; as per IISc Norms)

Terms of Appointment: This is a contract appointment, initially for one year and renewable thereafter, based on an annual evaluation of performance.
