I've been asked what an htu is.
When you vote, your vests are converted into rshares and added to the post's total of all rshares voted on it.
At payout the rshares are converted to vests which are converted to hbd, hive, and/or hive power.
The number you see displayed on the posts are not hbd, as one would assume, but hive token units that serve as a display unit that the average user can relate to.
The distinction is real, but insignificant for everyday use.
