Anthony Fauci: a messenger of science or a psychological manipulator?

Dr Anthony Fauci is currently chief medical advisor to the US White House and has emerged as an American and global authority on all things COVID. And so it is quite telling that he appears to be other allergic to specifying any numbers used in his analysis and decision-making process.

Salty Cracker, who is truly an awesome performer and highly entertaining source of news and laughs, has brought this to my attention. (Full video linked below, very NSFW.) Fauci did it recently when asked about the dynamics of the new Omicron variant. He was effectively asked what parameters would need to be met, in his opinion, to justify further lockdowns. He refused to provide any answer in numerical terms.

This appears to be a pattern as earlier he had acted the same way in response to a question about mask mandates for school students, So Fauci, as science-bound as he claims to be, is not big on using scientific criteria in his decision making process.

Salty Cracker opines that these statements of his are just trial balloons launched to gauge the populace's response to mandates and restrictions as part of a wider psychological manipulation operation aimed at consolidating control over the society. I think he is likely right. And I think this is an interesting new detail adding to the wealth of our knowledge of one Anthony Fauci and the powers he represents.
