According to a foreign news agency, the US Senate unanimously appointed Black Officer General Charles Brown as the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, the first black general to command any military service in US history.

US Vice President Mike Pence presided over the vote on the appointment of General Charles, in which General Charles received 98 votes and not a single vote against him, which Mike Pence called a historic moment.

Foreign media say that the vote for the unanimous appointment of General Charles has taken place at a time when there are protests in the United States over the killing of black George Floyd by the police.

According to foreign media, General Charles Brown recently headed the US Air Force in the Pacific region and is a fighter pilot who has more than 2,900 hours of flying experience, including 130 hours in combat.

General Charles Brown was commissioned in 1984 and is a graduate of Texas Technical University. He has served in various capacities, including Squadron Leader and Wing Commander, and has commanded Fighter Wings and Fire Squadrons.

It should be noted that after the assassination of a black man George Floyd by a white police officer in the United States, violent demonstrations are going on in many states due to which the National Guard was deployed in Washington.
