RE: Vitamin C Physiology, Metabolism, and Deficiency

I remember when I began to study medicine, and read about vitamins; when I go through vitamin C, I will always remember its deficiency "scurvy". I like the story, I remember that this condition occurred mostly in sailors, they spent a lot of time on a ship (>6 months) and vitamin C deficiency caused anemia, gingivitis, bleeding, among others, as you explained in your publication.
