>

It is a new week and a brand new edition, the 24th edition to be precise, of the STEMng digest where we celebrate the Nigerian authors in the stem field that are making waves on the hive blockchain.

STEMng a sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now.

There were many decent posts to select from for this edition. A few new authors also made their debuts in the community as well The following articles are the picks for this week's STEMng digest:

  1. @noble-noah: Benefits of Walking you should not ignore

    image.png

The human population is plagued with a host of avoidable non-pathogenic diseases if only humans will generally adopt a more active lifestyle. The benefits inherent in walking a few miles per day are enormous. Read the author's submission to know more.

2.@ezeemmaneul: Local milk source, production, processing, importance and effects.

Many of us have been taking milk since we became self-aware but never bother to research how these milk are produced. Thanks to this new entrant to stemsocial who decided to educate us about how milk is produced locally from cow.

3.@zoneboy: JavaScript Tutorial : Array and Array Methods

If you are looking to get a hold on some basics of programming, zoneboy is probably a user to follow. Here is another programming tutorial for the benefits of those that care.

4.@belemo: Things that could go wrong: What if it was human nature?

Another of what seems to be like a series of aircraft-related articles. This time around, an empirical investigation was made into what could have been the cause of the crash of a particular aircraft, North-west flight 5719.

5.@hadji: For the love of gold and the pollution of our ecosystem

image.png

Many of us love gold, either as an investment or as ornaments. Little do we know what it takes for gold to become the gold we admire or invest in. Biodiversity is destroyed and human lives put at stake just to mine our much-coveted gold. This is a good read from the author.
