RE: When sadness is pure joy...

Thank you for shedding some light on this subject. Melancholy has always been a long time friend of mine and it has always appeared at exactly the right time, not too early and not too late.

We embrace what we can't control with our lives. We should know when to push. There are aspects in our lives over which we have no control. We don't whine about it, but we keep an eye out for the positive and do what we can right now.

When you said this, it really hit me at the core of my current state. It's true that we can't completely control our lives, that there are certain aspects in our lives in which we have no control over. People are often too harsh with themselves and still blame themselves for things they can't control. I know because I do it too.

It's easier said than done, since being aware of something and what to do about it is far from being in the middle of experiencing it and the knee-jerk emotional reactions that come with it thus the need of constant reminders for people like me, and this post is one of them. 💙

Me too, I consider melancholy the old trusted friend.

Good to hear that my statement resonates with you. I guess we all too hard on ourselves. We push too much that sometimes we want to control everything even if we know we can't.

Yes, it is. What we can do is put our best in everything we do. Enjoy a slice of !PIZZA
