Hello friends ready to visit Jurassic park?... No... It is not the famous park created by "Steven Spielberg" I mean Portugal!!! Although you did not know it, in Portugal there is a city where many dinosaur bones have been found and despite being small, its findings have marked the world of paleontology! This is where one of the greatest scientists, Mr. Carlos Natario, was born. Together with Octavio Mateus, they have published dozens of scientific articles and discovered many species of dinosaurs, making the Portuguese country one of the most interesting countries to study paleontology! In the city of Lourinha we are going to visit the dinosaur museum and see one of the most talked about embryos in the world!🦕🧠

I have to say that so far it has been the most fantastic experience I have ever had about dinosaurs, Lourinha is a city in Portugal where many dinosaur specimens have been discovered, the passion of the inhabitants for paleontology is so great that when you go with your car through the streets you see replicas of dinosaurs everywhere! For lovers of this beautiful topic, the city becomes a must-see! and visiting the museum leaves a great teaching about fossils! and of course I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't share my experience with you! as always bringing original and unique content!🤩🧠🧭

There are many things to highlight about this museum, first we got some replicas of the dinosaurs that inhabited Portugal but there are also quite a few original bones giving us an idea of the size of the sauropsids, do you know which was the largest predatory dinosaur in Europe?? was baptized as Torvossauros and if the museum has a replica of it! the Mateus family has contributed to the foundation of the park and Mr. Octavio was the discoverer of a real intact dinosaur nest! and also one of the most preserved eggs and embryos in the world! this discovery catapulted Octavio's career taking him to work all over the world! but don't worry... We'll know a little about him!🕵️‍♂️👨‍💻👨

Here in the video you can see in the background the park workers digging up bones, and doing cleaning, if you are Portuguese you can also do your "thesis or use the experience for a resume" here, this is not a montage!!! it is real! When a dinosaur egg or bone is discovered in Portuguese territory, then it is brought here to the laboratory, after being worked on by professionals, it goes to the museum to be exhibited. I saw about 4 workers cleaning it, I imagine there are four projects!😲🤔👨‍🎓👨‍🔬

The largest number of discoveries were made in this region, Lourinha being an area that was very popular with the dinosaurs, it is believed that it was due to its climatic conditions and terrain conditions where lagoons were formed that allowed the animals to eat, drink water and rest! In addition to Lourinha in Portugal, we highlight the cities of: Peniche and Torres Vedras! always when we read articles about dinosaurs we focus our attention on the terrestrial ones but the marine life in the Jurassic was very prosperous and we got everything from giant tortoises to crocodiles!🌊🌊

That's awesome I didn't know about this city in Portugal. Well here in Canada there is another "dinosaur capital" it is Drumheller, in Alberta. The museum and the fossil park is amazing as well. I guess some places are blessed to conserve so well these fossils!
