Our solar system consists of 8 planets. These are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Scientists are reluctant to accept Pluto as a planet . They call pluto a dwarf planet . However, all these planets orbit the Sun around our Sun. Innumerable asteroids are also orbiting the Sun. We all know this. But do you know the kuiper-belt relationship of our solar system? The topic of our discussion today is the Kuiper Belt.

We know that Pluto is the farthest planet from the Sun. Pluto's distance from the Sun is 3.7 billion miles (5.9 billion kilometers). The planet Pluto is located in the Kuiper-belt. This means that the distance of the kuiper-belt and the distance of pluto are the same. kuiper-belt made of innumerable ice objects. It surrounds our solar system. The Kuiper-belt is made of millions of ice objects that orbit our sun. The kuiper-belt is an area with numerous icy objects resembling a comet. Both the Oort Cloud and the Kuiper-belt are thought to be the source of comets. We can call it the disk of the solar system.

The Kuiper belt was named after Dutch astronomer Gerard Kuiper, though he did not predict its existence. Although it is like an asteroid's belt, its size is much larger. The size of the asteroid belt is 92 million miles (150 million km) in width and the same thickness. But the Kuiper-belt is much larger than the asteroid belt. kuiper-belt 20–200 times larger. This is a giant belt.

The planet Neptune is responsible for creating this belt. It was formed by the outward motion of Neptune 4.5 billion years ago. The time is very ancient. But we the people of the world knew about it in the 19th century. Scientists have learned by observation that the belt is dynamically stable and that comets' true place of origin is the scattered disc, a dynamically active zone.

Scientists have learned by observation that The distance from our Sun to the planet Neptune is 30 astronomical units (AU). Next to Neptune lies the Kuiper-belt. The Oort Cloud is located between 2,000 and 100,000 astronomical units (AU) from our Sun. . So don't mistake kuiper-belt and The Oort Cloud for the same. Among the thousands of mysteries of our universe, the kuiper-belt is the best.
