How do animals survive in extreme cold? SCIENCE

I was sitting next to the goats, I felt that they were suffering a lot in the winter. The goats seem to have curled up in the winter. I wondered how goats survive in such cold weather. After that I thought that goats have fur which protects them from cold and heat. In fact animals cannot take care of themselves so there is no clothing for them to wear. And that's why fur is naturally created on their body

Animals migrate to escape winter like foreign birds come to our country during winter. We have a lot of birds here. At the end of winter these birds migrate to other places during summer. Birds actually come from north to south in search of warmth. This happens for different animals which are easy to move.

The goats were basking in the soft morning light and the temperature was still very low. They are much closer to each other to survive the winter which is seen in many animals. I was there that caught my eye

We humans use different warm clothes to protect ourselves from cold but goats use their fur to protect themselves from cold. You see that the goat has enough wool that is thick and big. This fur protects them a lot from the cold. We humans have hair on our head to protect us from the cold in this part. Have you ever felt cold on your scalp? Of course not. If you feel cold on the part covered by your hair, it is very little that we do not consider. From this we understand that fur helps a lot to survive the winter.

I have shown here with my fingers how thick and long the goat's fur is. I saw that the goat's fur was larger than an inch. So it works well and keeps the cold away

Animals fluff up their fur and feathers to survive the overwintering, which makes them appear fatter. This is a strategy that makes them more comfortable. Over winter they settle down in one place as the hen sat there for a long time. Goats do the same. Cows also follow the same strategy in fluffing up furs that I have observed.

Animals migrate to escape winter like foreign birds come to our country during winter. We have a lot of birds here. At the end of winter, these birds migrate to other places during summer. Birds actually come from north to south in search of warmth. This happens for different animals which are easy to move.

Those of you who have seen animals living in icy regions have seen their fur white. This is known to be a result of adaptation. This is because bears can blend in with the snow for camouflage. However, polar bears are also adapted to survive the cold. Their height is higher than that of bears living in hot areas. And they can grow new fur, grow ears, and live together to survive the winter.

There are some animals that survive the winter by eating extra food because the body needs energy to raise its temperature. There are also some animals that can store fat in their body during winter. It occurs in some animals such as squirrels. They become less active and slower during winter. As a result, they consume less energy. Their body temperature drops. When the body temperature drops, the ability to feel cold is also supposed to decrease. Besides, since there is a shortage of food in winter, it is a strategy to survive for a long time by eating less food.

I have seen that cows become very thin in winter because they have to spend a lot of energy fighting the cold in winter. Cow owners give the same amount of food to cows in winter as they give in summer. As a result, their food is deficient. But it may be different in the case of wild cows.

Even though animals use so many tricks, they probably feel colder than humans. So we should be more kind to them. Winter survival strategies for animals are amazing. All these animals are adapted to their environment. So maybe we see different species of animals in different parts of the world even though they are called by the same name.

Every animal has got something or the other from nature so that it can escape from the attack of the environment in any season. I have seen many such animals which have very thick hair on their body, because of having hair they can live in winter. They don't even feel cold.

One thing I have come to discover is animals are created in a way that their skin can resist cold much more than even humans
