La madre, quien prefirió no ser identificada, detalló que los pequeños son muy parecidos, pero cuando estos tenían ocho meses le surgieron dudas sobre su paternidad, por lo que pidió una prueba de ADN al hombre que creía que era el padre de los mellizos, pero el resultado fue positivo para solo uno de ellos.

En cada ciclo menstrual la mujer se prepara para un posible embarazo, a partir del primer día del ciclo hormonal, el hipotálamo empiesas a mandar señales a la hipófisis para que esta a su vez envíe señales hormonales a los ovarios para que vallan preparando los folículos para una posible fecundación.

Se preparan muchos folículos, sin embargo sólo uno se desarrolla mejor y más rápido, el que a su vez produce mayor estimulación hormonal (estrógenos) favoreciendo la salida del ovocito, este es el que llega hacer fecundado por el espermatozoide para formar el embrión.

En el caso de la superfecundación heteropaternal, se ha ovulado dos veces en el mismo ciclo menstrual, por tanto no hablamos de un solo folículo sino de dos que han madurado en momentos diferentes los que han liberado ovocitos que son fecundado cada uno por un espermatozoide diferente (superfecundación) y como los espermatozoides pertenecen a diferentes padres se llama entonces (heteropaternal).
| In the case of heteropaternal superfecundation, it has been ovulated twice in the same menstrual cycle, therefore we are not talking about a single follicle but two that have matured at different times which have released oocytes that are fertilized each by a different sperm (superfecundation) and as the sperm belong to different parents is then called (heteropaternal). |
En otras palabras una mujer que tuvo una ciclo menstrual donde se liberaron dos ovocitos en el mismo ciclo, tuvo relaciones sexuales con diferentes hombre y cada uno de los ovocitos fue fecundado por espermatozoide diferentes.😱😱😅

Este fenómeno es extremadamente raro pero puede pasar, otro caso similar fue reportado en un estudio realizado en Colombia en el año 2018, donde se evidenció la presencia de gemelos masculinos con diferentes padres de ahí que en las disputas de paternidad para los gemelos dicigóticos, es obligatorio exigir en la prueba la presencia de los dos gemelos para evitar conclusiones incorrectas.👉👉👉

I asked myself the same question. How possible is this? And I started thinking of various ways of it happening. I see now that it's possible which brings me to my question.is the interval between the intercourse important? How short or long could it have been before the second egg was lost?
