Happy new year to you as well (once again too, I imagine ;) ). Thanks for this very nice blog, to which I have a lot of comments this time (especially on the generalities as for what concerns the topic I managed to follow, more or less let's say)!

I was involved in some research studies last year 2021, one of which was the main reason for absence for a very long time on social media in general.

Advancing knowledge is definitely more important than social media, to rephrase @howo ;)

Interestingly, one of the most important sentence of your blog is this one:

Discovering something without making it accessible and known to the general public, of what use is the research?

I am telling this to bachelor students every single day. Being the best scientist but incapable of communicating with others (especially other scientists, but also the general public that pays our job through their taxes) makes us useless to society. Communication is a skill that should not be neglected.

It won't be long before Stemsocial becomes a repository and bank of Information.

I think it is already the case. Some content is already the kind of stuff on which we may search information on the web. The rest is just a matter of referencing (and maybe having an app with a search engine; tagging @bambukah to add that item on our list of long-term plans) ;) .

For what concerns the scientific part of your blog, I was a bit scared after reading the abstract of your paper as I was not capable to understand most words used. I was about to ask many questions, but luckily you saved my day right after this. Pfeeeewww! The rest of the blog was then clear. enough Thanks for sharing it! I have just one question: are treatments based on the shared findings already available, or are they left for the future?

Finally, let me ask another unrelated question: do you have open access publication options in your field?

Ok, really a comprehensive question and interesting ☺️

Currently the treatment has not been effected, it will require more validation to do so. It's just like approving new Vaccine, it will sure undergo thorough scrutiny.

For the second question, I don't know if the question is more of my personal research as open access, if yes , then, yes I do, should be about 10 if I am not mistaken.

If the other way around, Still yes we do.
☺️

Thanks for the answers. I was not sure about the status of the treatment checks and your reply answered it perfectly.

The second question was more general relative to the field itself (what are the open access practices for instance). But this topic is probably good for another discussion [I triggered on the fact I could not access the PDF file of the publication].

oh okay I understand better now.
this particular one was published as a book chapter and the publishers would want to make some money from its sales since it is a hot new finding, reason why it is not readily available unless paid for. I had to publish it here for accessibility. I can forward you the PDF on Discord if you need it.

That's fine, don't worry. As I said, it was more by curiosity that I was asking this question. Actually, that may be a good topic (sharing open access practice) for a next (less physics) post I could write.
