Unifying these forces can enable us to freely express the mechanics of the universe (as envisioned), but I think we are still missing a few factors into the equation. For us to create the "Theory of Everything", we need to understand how we fully link all of fundamental particles and the forces. Gravity is peculiar and I think it would take us some time to be able to put it on the equation.
