Marine is filled with numerous kind of creatures, both small and large. But I would like to direct our minds to one of the largest fish in the water, the Carcharodon Carcharias known as the great white sharks. However, this is not the biggest in shark family, but from estimate, they are about 15 to 20feet and can weigh more than 2268 in kilograms.
The great white shark lives in cool coastal waters where they are at the top of the Marine food chain. They are known as King of predators due to the fact that it will eat anything even feed on other sharks. As they mature, seals and sea lions will become their most preferred target.
Like I said before, sea mammals like seals and sea lions will become their desirable prey as they grow older.
In their journey to search for a prey, they first find target possibly at the top of the ocean while swimming or beneath the surface of the water.

This great white shark has outstanding perception but mostly relies on it's phenomenal sense of smell when locating a prey. Their sense of smell is so effective that they can actually sniff out a very slight amount of diluted blood in a large water body. Isn't this creature outstanding? Their highly developed understandings help them to catch a glimpse of even the most miniature clues that prey might be close, I will not fail to say that sharks use their senses when searching for food.
Each of their ears along side of their body comprises of pressure-sensitive cells which aid in their hearing. Heart beat or the swimming power of a potential prey are felt by shark by the help of their sixth sense.
Possession of two distinct colours to match the color of their environment, that is; its dorsal colour tends to blend with the dark coloured water bottom and the white ventral surface blends with the sky colour above them, making it difficult for prey to observe them. This blending coloring and it's speed help them to stalk.
When they find a target, they will hit the prey with a burst speed and bite it simultaneously. Their bite is so deadly that initial bite received by the victim would be severe.
It will stay until the helpless prey die before eating it.

Columns of sharp teeth a white shark has can be numbered into thousands and these razor sharp serrated teeth can be ravaging because a single bite from them is fetal.
Little is known about the reproduction in white sharks. It is speculated that numerous eggs are hatch in the womb of the female after mating with a male white shark. In her womb, the newly developed sharks eat the unfertilized eggs as they grow before being born. The female White sharks give birth to two to ten pups which is 5ft in length.
The inexperienced young white sharks grow gradually. The adultness age of the males are 9 or 10 years, while females are mature at 14 to 16 years of age.
It is said that, but still not sure that the female white skarks give birth once every two years.
Scientists assume that they live about 30 years.
