That sure is a long time but I truly do think that we will learn more about the other planets when we are able to observe from other planets. For example would there be differences between what we see on mars and what we see on earth or on a satelite?

That is an interesting proposition and it is a good thesis to fonder. If we can do that and find a significant observation, it will be revolutionary.
