Reports on sustainable fishing practices usually speak poorly of farmed salmon. I am sad to hear the diseases from fish farms also affect the wild fish.
Some reports speak highly of farmed trout which is a fresh water fish in the Salmonidae family.

It looks like that the Canadian Government wasn't making too many efforts to inspect it. I don't know if you are Canadian, so we have a department of fisheries in oceans ( DFO) that was supposed to do this job. Hopefully, they improved a bit about it...
