Interesting read. Can someone without any eye defect request glasses just because he/she just like using glasses?
Also, what is the average cost if I wish to get a blue-block lens for my glasses? Some PCs claim to have blue block tech in place but one can never trust them.

Nice to hear from you, it’s been a while. Well with regards to your question, yes you can request for glasses from your Optometrist or Ophthalmologist just because you like wearing them, if you don’t have any refractive errors you still get to benefit from the photochromic addition that protects your eyes from UV rays and Anti-reflective coating that helps a lot with night driving, thus if you drive.
I have lots of patients who just like wearing glasses because of how nice the frame may be and how it compliments their beauty, just don’t buy any specs from the streets, visit your nearest eye care facility for a prescribed one.
The prices vary across geographical regions or location, in Ghana I wouldn’t expect you to spend more than 250 cedis (32.65 hive) to obtain a prescribed and well functioning blue block lens from the hospital or clinic. I can’t tell for Nigeria but this can be an estimate for you.
