Just as history may have it,we(Nigerians) or Nigeria has been in total blindness when it comes to technological advancement to enhancing our domestic, regional and National economies. A world truth stands out that precolonial era in the Nigerian economy was where some crude implements were used for harnessing natural resources given to us the Nigerian. Of course these natural endowed gifts were harnest in subsistence level due to the level of technology available then. Little amount of them were discovered as it serves the basic purposes of man like ; cocoa, vegetarians etc were used for quenching man's hunger. But the existence of science and technology into the Nigerian economy has if not boosted, maintained a good running of the economy technologically. Hence, I made a short article on some important sectors of the economy it has enhanced on since it's adoption and application in the Nigerian economy.....

Science And Technological Appraisal For me

It should not be understated that science and it cultures has or have helped our economy precisely. In Nigeria today, technology have improved in almost every sector of the economy. I can say that science and technology have outstanding innovations and have also caused some great developments with human labour control in Nigeria. We see today that science and technology have immensely impacted on our society. Following the merits, some sectors of Nigeria economy has benefited more from its developments.

Various Sectors That Have Improved Since The Adoption And Existence Of Science And Technology

1.Oil and gas exploration:

Mining and refining in the Nigerian economy isn't the first to generate national revenue or external income to the economy. First, before precolonial era and even post colonial periods in the economy, agriculture was the first major larger contributor in the economy. It was estimated that it contributes 85%of the GDP (gross domestic product) and 45% of a(NI) National income. Recently or lets say early 1975, crude oil was first found in commercial quantity in oloibiri Delta state Nigeria. Since the exploration of oil and gas in Nigeria, overdependence on oil and gas has come to stay if I may say. Through scientific research, oil and gas was found in Delta state. Through its effectiveness, crude oil were turned to finished products as gas, gasoline, kerosene, hydraulic, engine oil etc. The exportation of these products to other nations generates (nE) income from the rest of the world and income to the rest of the world- net Export. Drilling and refining crude oil leads to production of different components of crude oil which we use in our various vehicles, equipments as well as some high-powered machineries.

The existence of science and technology in Nigeria leads to establishing and building refineries and these reduces the cost of transportating it to abroad for refining then. Scientific research and methods have improved the monitoring of oil Fields, access shell gas assistant production, depleted oil fields and produce eco-friendly products constructions in Nigerian.
These sites are now more efficient and productive with the use of some large and has high powered machinery brought about by the functional existence of science and Technology. Equipments such as; QR codes, telematics put on machinery to avoid vandalism, 3D models for construction, drones, 3D printing smart wearable sensors, and robotic exoskeletons are also great impact of science and technology to the construction of industries in the Nigerian economy.

2.TransportatiOn:

I will not like to say a lot on these, it's very open to historians and voracious readers that the existence of men was characterized by wondering from one place to another. In Nigeria then, transportation wa fine by me walking on barefoot. People walk long distances barefooted from sokoto to zamfara state to just see a family member or carry out a specific business.

Then, people were paid to carry goods on there shoulders, heads and hands from one place to another, and these really affected the economy as lesser quantity of goods were distributed in the case of higher demand. Transportation was hard then as there were no motorable rural linkages. Just tiny pathed roads and appearn ways were used. Some innovative means brought by science exposes and Introduced the use of bicycle, tricycle, and motor vehicles like ;504 wagon,911 trailer vehicles and well constructed road constructed by Lord lugard and julius Berger then. More goods and services were now transported from a northern protectorate to southern protectorates as it was called then. Later days, trains, canoes etc were established.

3. International collaboration:

Through science and technology, the world at large has been able to trade on international borders. Nigeria as well has gained that too , also gained international recognition and actively collaborate with its various continents of the world. This is done through distance learning communication with outside world as well as various other means of international relations in terms of finance. >Science and technology has also permitted into the Nigerian economy and finance system; bringing in changes in the functionalities of the financial industries. Now, models like automated teller machine(ATM) are used for payments and fund transfe. Online banking platforms, ICT integrated project balance electronic mail for their customers bank in automated cleaning services for clearing of cheques. Transactions and various fintech functionalities would not have been possible today if not for the existence and the wonderful functioning of science and technology. Recently in Nigeria, the financial system has gradually shifted to a more customer-centric system in the world today thanks to the era of science and technology around the globe.

Conclusion

Deriving from what is said here, science and technology has made things easy for everyone including the government controlling the economies of Nigeria. The three areas are not just the only sectors in the Nigerian economy that's science has improved in but,I choose to write on them because, that's the only thing Nigeria can say brings internal and external revenue then and now for me.

Have a nice week ahead ❤️

Thanks for reading...... See you soon......

The people doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved deeply with her group and @fyrstikken . Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. I cant prove she is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing it. I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have tried to kill me and are still trying to kill me. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism

Wow yes of course I mention that, but when it was first explored,it was all about the help of technology that it was able to be harnessed. But still, I will tell you that oil industry is not developed anything in Nigeria.

After reading and getting information from other Nigerian authors on Hive, I find it a pity that other sectors did not see many improvements. I think in particular to healthcare that seems very wrong in your country (@gentleshaid won't contradict me on this matter, I guess). Hopefully, you will eventually get there... but you may need another government that has the guts to implement changes...

The government is bad and so is an average Nigerian.

The mindset of an average Nigerian needs to change before we can start getting it right. Many will rather sell their votes for peanuts instead of electing a seemingly competent candidate.

Something drastic will have to happen to shake things up in this country. Hopefully, it would be in my generation. For now, I am more than grateful for my health and that of my family.

The term "average" says everything @gentleshaid . This is a country our forefathers fought for. Nigeria is weeping 😭😭

This is how education matters. How is the school program with this respect? Is there any hope to see improvements in the next few years? Otherwise, alternative options will probably have to be worked out and promoted... (like on Hive? ;) ).

Theoretically, the school programs are great even though we learn under less-than-ideal condition. When it come to practicals though, we are severely lacking.

This is why Nigerians seem to excel once they are beyond the shores of the country. Our only hope for improvement is a change of government to someone that with show empathy and act accordingly. Elections are coming next year.

Fingers are crossed. Checking some neighbour countries (e.g. Democratic Republic of Congo), hope is permitted!

Boss @lemouth ,it's not a secret anymore. The problem of this country isn't about the egocentrism of the leaders but of the godfather issues and situations concerned to gaining the power. Huge returns are made when you are being put in any political position by your political godfathers. Hence, you work for those that put you in position and not for the interest of the people. Even when you maunauver to get your way in there, the gaint hawks(godfathers) that owns almost everything here will fight to remove you in power, plotting against your political agendas when you don't work with them.Political godfatherism has killed this country.....

That sounds like a massively corrupted system. I hope you will find one leader allowing the country to move on... Some African countries managed to do so, therefore there is hope!
