Hey! Hivians, it is a good day to learn again, after being away for a long time- due to my second semester examination. Hope you guys are in good health? well, whatever the situation might be, we have to thank almighty God for the gift of life. On this day and in the course of analysing my work, I conducted a research on how milk are made from its natural source and decided to put it into writings. I'm going analysing how milk is gotten, process, please, stored and distributed to the final consumer.
Without wasting much of your time, I would like to put into definition some explanations of the concepts in this piece of work; milk, cow and local milk.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

MILK as we know is defined as a liquid substance( ie a liquid food) enreached with nutrients and is produced by the mammals from their mammary glands. Milk can also be defined as an agric-based product collected from farm animals. Milk is used by man and also by animals (in terms of breastfeeding in mammals and mostly ruminants).

COW is defined as an animal from Bos Taurus in the absence of sex or age. It is also defined as a carved adult female of the species of Bo's Taurus.

LOCAL MILK PRODUCTION simply explains the processes involved in the collection of milk from the mammary glands of a cow.

SOURCES OF MILK

Considering the various means of t which milk is gotten from,I came to realize that milk is not only gotten from cows, but it can also be gotten from buffaloes, sheep, horses, carmels as well as goats for human use or usage. The sources of milk explains how and where meals are gotten or taken out from. And various examples has been given above on the sources of milk extractions and collections. It is known and from a consensus,a terent goes across milk utilization; as the world is in need of milk because of its nutritive nature. Rearing of cows, buffaloes, sheep, goats, carmels well as horses was encouraged and fastened by the necessity of milk consumption.

MILK PRODUCTION/ PROCESSING IN COWS

  Before milk is gotten or produced from the natural source, a process is involved to effectively take milk out of the teat of a cow. Those processes involved are listed below;
  • first- secure the cow's head so that she can't wander off.

  • clean the udder ( an organ formed of the mammary glands of female quadruped mammals particularly ruminants).

  • get a sturdy stool to sit on.

  • lubricate the various teats.

-pull downward from the base of the teat.

-squeeze the teat to get the milk out into the bucket.

Note: the above process explains the primary process of milk extraction.

Another process of extracting milk is the automated milk extraction process- whereby electrified machineries or machines are used to milk cows diary catles and diary goats.

The automated extraction is done in a place called diary. A diary is a location or a farm diary which is a mixed farm and is concerned with the processing of milk. Dairy also refers to a milk-based products, work, animals and processes involved in the production of milk.
MILK machine is the equipment used to extract milks from the teat of a mammal of Bo's Taurus specie.
Note that a diary factory processes milk into various diary products while a diary farm produces milk.

USES OF MILK

  • casein serves as phosphorus and it is used in humans food production such as ice cream and other products

  • cheese are made from milk that are compressed, processed and stored for human consumption.

  • whey is a waste product from milk and it is used to feed the pigs.

  • yoghurt is also made of milk and it is utilised by human beings.

  • cream and butter are made from milk and used by human beings.

  • Milk powders are also milk products.

MILK CONSERVATION/STORAGE

 Milks are stored to extend its marketable life when gotten from the farm. There are various means of which milk shelf life can be extended. They are;
  • heat treatment: this ensures the safety of milk by lengthening its shelf life.

-dehydrating: this is the process of drying milk products as milk powders so that they can be stored.

  • storing milk in containers while closed in refrigerator and keeping it far from strong smelling food container so that it can't pick up the odours.

IMPORTANCE OF MILK

  • it provides vitamin D, potassium as well as calcium to the body.
  • it serves as a good source of vitamin A, thiamine(B1), zinc and magnesium.
  • build stronger bones and teeth.

THE SIDE EFFECTS OF MILK CONSUMPTION

  • milk worsens eczema in terms of diary.

  • it causes lactose intolerance.

  • it can cause heart disease.

  • it causes bleeding in the intestine during infancy if babies drink cow milk during their first year of life.

In conclusion, having seen the above information, some of us that do take or drink milk and other products made of milk, will hopefully maybe next time they take it,have in mind where milk comes from and the importance of milk to them as well knowing the negative effects of too much intake of milk.

......thanks for reading
............remain blessed.

Dear @ezeemmanuel , Your article is interesting! By the way, why do you post pictures of white people? Are there no dairy factories in Nigeria?
