There was a time my dog was itching itself all day, I would have believed it to be something else, but i am easily irritated and uncomfortable with things like that. I was forced to take her to the vet as I could not bear the itching and biting anymore. It turned out to be Pruritus but she is fine now.

Good to know your pet is now fine, I would say it isn't a bad thing to check with your vet at the slight chance of inconvenience.
