It could be a manifestation of quantum mechanics, I see similarities, especially the existence of multiverse and also dream events appears to be discrete, not continuous of each other as we observe in our wakeful world.
I also read about a recent research that suggests sleep might have evolved before the brain - sleep necessarily need not neutral networks.
But what if everything dreams including subatomic particles?. I guess the universe might not be all that objective. We can think of bed wetting and nocturnal emission to be as a result of entanglement and teleportation of information in our multiverse.

It may be related to quantum mechanism in some sense. But we still can't figure out what really is the role of dream, why we dream and how we dream.
I like your perspective here. What if it is. That would be ground breaking. If multiverse is proven true, what we know about the universe might change forever. Maybe our dreams are lapses in the multiverse. Let just see how the research comes to conclusion. !PIZZA

Dear @juecoree, I am negative about the multiverse theory. If my existence is assumed to exist as several people in the multiverse, what am I in the present?
Joseph's dreams have two tendencies: happiness and tragedy. When Joseph first told his brothers that he had a dream that they would bow down to him, tragedy struck.
Joseph's first dream brought him the greatest misfortune.
However, because of the dream Pharaoh had, Joseph could have the greatest happiness.
Joseph and Daniel's dream was the greatest misfortune at first, but the fact that it turned out to be the greatest luck, I think the multiple universe theory is an illusion.
Dreams given by God to humans prove that only humans chosen by God can decipher dreams!
In the end, a person not chosen by God will become like the baker the Pharaoh killed because he could not decipher his dreams!
If @juecoree living in another universe dies, what will happen to @juecoree living on Earth now?
I think the multiverse theory based on quantum mechanics is based on Hinduism.
I believe that the multiverse theory based on quantum mechanics belongs to the world of matter, not the world of dreams.
As a Christian, I believe that God gives dreams to humans and accomplishes God's salvation!😄
I believe that the meeting between a Catholic in the Philippines @juecoree and a Presbyterian @goldgrifin007 in Korea was divinely predestined! 😄
That is what science can't answer. There are still a lot of mysteries to uncover and often the answers we have are philosophical and not scientific. Science can explain the mechanic of the world we lived, but it has no answer to why we are her or what all of this exist.
This is a paradox that is often encountered in answering the big questions. We don't know if it exist and if it exist, what happen then. We can only speculate and wait to have it answer in some time in the future.
There are a lot of concepts that we can trace back to ancient religious and philosophical writings. I am not sure if quantum mechanics is related to Hinduism, but I am sure some part of science can be connected to religion.
