Our body "the perfection": Heart- Part 3 / Nuestro cuerpo "la perfección": El corazón- Tercera Parte (Eng/Spa)

I have been developing a series of publications where I hope to give a good overview of what our body is, which in general is something that pleases most, but is somewhat complicated to understand, especially if we go to medical anatomy books, but what I intend is to give a very easy to understand for everyone of what is very complicated in terms of operation of our body.

In the previous post I explained what is the heart as a muscle that is able to work constantly throughout our lives. I mentioned its contractile capacity, which is what allows the blood to flow once it is expelled by the contraction of the heart muscle.

Like any other muscle it contracts and relaxes, but in this case it is interesting to note that it does so at a constant rate and that this contraction is given by a small electrical impulse that is generated in the heart, in a specific part of it and from there it radiates to other parts of the cardiac fibers, which causes it to contract, this impulse disappears, and that is when the muscle relaxes.

Once this ends this special area of the heart, creator of this electrical impulse, is activated again to produce a new one, which will be distributed in the heart until it contracts and disappears again, and this cycle is repeated over and over again, without stopping, and with each contraction the blood flows from the heart to the whole body.

It is for this reason that we can see in movies or television series that with "electroshock " can sometimes revive a person who has suffered a cardiac arrest, but depending on the cause, of course. Because that electricity that is placed in specific points of the thorax can sometimes "restart" the heart, so to speak.

It is also the basis of the studies that are performed to measure the electrical functioning of the heart, such as the electrocardiogram. It consists of a few shots that are placed in the toras, in specific points and can perceive that small electrical intensity and then reflect it in a millimeter paper that will allow to see how it is working.

What we have to keep in mind is that our body has practically everything to work properly, what unbalances it a little is the fact that we expose it to certain chemical or biological agents, or that due to bad nutrition many organs are affected, which brings with itself that these will affect others, as it usually happens with any system, where the failure of one element affects the others.

I propose with these publications the fact that if we know better the marvel that is our organism, surely we will be able to take care of it much more.

Totally true, many times we hurt ourselves due to ignorance, although most of the time it is despite knowing it. Thanks for the support.

Hello @apineda

I propose with these publications the fact that if we know better the marvel that is our organism, surely we will be able to take care of it much more.

It is very true what you express, the more we know our body, certainly the better we will take care of it. Thank you for sharing such important information. Greetings.
