First let me say that it is always delightful to read about the culture of your country. I am a former social studies teacher, but no book ever told me that it might be considered impolite to deliver an object to an elderly person with the left hand. Thanks for that insight.

As for the thrust of you article...no not too long. As a matter of fact I went reading a bit because I had read once that forcing yourself to use the non-dominant hand increases neural connectivity (plasticity). However, different sources I consulted tonight contradicted each other, so there seems to be no firm evidence on that.

What I did find was an article in Psychology Today which claims "Emotion Is Reversed in Left-Handers' Brains". That's an interesting notion but the article was published in 2012, and perhaps more recent research disproves that notion. Anyway, thought I would mention it.

Thank you for a very interesting blog. Your writing is clear and quite accessible for those of us who are not trained in science.
