Edibles are a wonderful way to enjoy cannabis. The enjoyment of a marijuana-enriched brownie is enough for a long-lasting high. Follow our step-by-step guide and find out how easily you can make your own cannabis brownies at home!
Edibles are becoming increasingly popular for enjoying cannabis. And there are good reasons for that. For example, cannabinoids are processed by our digestive system in this form of consumption. This sometimes means that it can take a few hours for the high to set in. However, once that happens, you will feel good too. When eating cannabis, the cannabinoids are released over a longer period of time. In addition, you should consider a high that can last as long as 4–10 hours, with more powerful, more numbing effects. Inhaling cannabis smoke through your lungs, however, delivers a faster high. However, this also has its disadvantages. It can cause damage to your lungs and the smell can attract unwanted attention.
EDIBLES FOR EVERYONE
You should definitely try cannabis edibles if you haven't already. And what better way to start than with the classic marijuana brownie? This is the way many newcomers have their first experience with cannabis edibles. And why wouldn't a chocolate brownie be the first recipe that comes to mind? Okay, historically, the Indian drink "bhang" would be THE first recipe that came to people. However, as far as modern sweets are concerned, chocolate brownies are simply incredibly flavorful. And especially with vanilla ice cream.
In theory, once you have infused fat with cannabis, you can use it in any recipe. Stroganoff. Carbonara. Beshbarmak. And in Cambodian restaurants, they sell cannabis-enriched “happy pizza”. So basically anything you can think of you can prepare.
Brownies are great to start with because you can easily make the recipe your own. Mix for store brownies often includes simple instructions. Here, however, we would like to put a little more effort into a fresh, top-quality recipe. We take you through our favorite recipe for brownies that you are sure to fly. First we explain how to make “cannabutter”. You can then add this to any other recipe.
PREPARING CANNA BUTTER
To enrich your brownies with cannabinoids, you must first have these established absorbed by your vet. In this case, butter is ideal. Just follow these steps:
Preheat your oven to 115 ° C.
Grind your weed as finely as possible, but not to powder. The strength of your brownies depends on the strength of your cannabis strain. It also depends on how much you use for the recipe. Be careful if it's your first time.
Spread the crushed cannabis over baking paper on a baking tray and put it in the oven for 50 minutes. Regularly check that it does not burn and get blackened. Toss well about halfway through. This heating process ensures decarboxylation of the cannabis so that it releases the chemicals efficiently when cooking at the vet.
Put 115g butter in a mixed pan. Fill the pan with water until the butter floats. Add your freshly decarboxylated cannabis.
Simmer the mixture on a low heat. Technically, an hour is enough to feel the effect. If you simmer for 2-4 hours, it should get even more powerful. Some people even leave it on the fire longer. However, don't forget to keep the temperature low or the cannabinoids will break down.
When simmering is done, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh cheesecloth sieve into a bowl or bowl. The soaked pieces of cannabis can be discarded.
Leave the water / butter mixture in the fridge overnight. The butter should arrive the next morning. Therefore it must have formed a hard layer. Spoon this off and you have the “cannabutter” for your recipe.
200g of white sugar
~ 30 g of cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ teaspoon of brown sugar
¼ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of baking soda
It is also recommended to have a small bar of high-quality chocolate ready. That can be pure, milk or white. Or one of each, if you like. If possible, process into chocolate chips and sprinkle them in the baking tin before putting the batter in.
And partly it tastes better, but it also offers a practical advantage. The more fat there is in your edibles, the more cannabinoids can be stored. That's also how the high works with edibles; the substances are absorbed by your body fat. More chocolate could also increase the power of the high. Are you fond of nuts in brownies? Then you can also add walnuts or macadamia nuts. Be aware that it falls in the same category as pineapple on a pizza.
Preheat your oven to 180 ° C.
Mix all ingredients, except for the eggs. Add the cannabutter. You can also add the excess cannabis water.
Add the eggs.
Stir well with a large spoon, from electric mixer.
Keep stirring until a thick batter forms. Then you add the chocolate chips / chunks.
Spread the batter evenly in a baking dish.
Put it in the oven for 20–30 minutes. Don't overcook it.
When the brownies are baked and cooled, enjoy them in moderation.
