Midjourney's ability to take photographic prompts.
(Edited)
A.I. imagery is getting good. In Midjourney, you can give it specific lighting scenarios with terms like backlit, key light, soft, warm, etc. But in the example here, I gave it the lighting and the actual camera settings. Here was the full prompt:
"soft, cinematic portrait of a brown bear looking at the camera with a warm key light and sharp rim light in a wooded area lit by the golden rays of the setting sun in the background, taken with a Canon EOS 6D using a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L lens set to a focal length of 200mm at f/2.8 and using a shutter speed of 1/250th of a second"
...and this was the result. My mind is sufficiently blown.

These apps are impressive. They raise all sorts of issues about creativity, but if you need a specific image they may do the job. I think people need to be honest about using them.
Agreed. It's been a fun toy to play with, but as a photographer I have no real use for it as it's my responsibility to make sure the images I'm delivering to my clients are 100% my own original content.
Super
It doesn't look real but the software did a good job. Say what you will about AI art but this is for original photography
I'm aware, and I am a photographer - been operating a photo business for over 20 years. This AI software is a toy. The point was how far it's come, not whether or not it look perfectly real. Since the prompt was related specifically to photography, it's relevant to the community. Thanks for the input. I would've posted it in the AI Art community....but there's not one.
