We really don't teach kids to value nature and see themselves - and us - as part of it. A hangover from the past centuries and the lack of a core religion that celebrates oneness I guess. Whilst I am not that keen on seeing bugs up too close (some are bloody monstrous!) I appreciate their role.

Totally agree, and it’s even more scary in the Western world - that, and not the bugs ^^ I can really see a lot of micro events that reveal it’s only an educational issue or lack.
Many of my friends, even close, often see others being than human as problem... For me it’s quite the opposite, the more I go, the more I see that Human are the problem of Nature, but still, I’m super optimistic :)
Yeah, I also don’t get to close too, haha ^^
