PART ONE OF NEW DESK SETUP
AIYIMA D03 AMP AND B&W SPEAKERS FOR MAC DESKTOP SETUP

I am starting to renew my set up stage one is the sound / audio for my mac setup
I have my B&W M1s for the speakers and have bought a AIYIMA amp with a subwoofer port for my REL subwoofer bass box.

I purchased the AIYIMA AMP of AliExpress I took some time to chose the right amp for my set up as I need a subwoofer port as well and did not want a large amp stuck on the desk or under the desk my desk is 2 meters long and I used to use my powered studio monitors on the desk but found them very bulky even though its a big desk and with my 2 monitors feels crowded so now I have the small B&W speakers and this amp and has eased up some space on the desk.

The next step is to change over from my current IMAC 27" to a MAC MINI and a 49" ultra wide monitor coming soon!!!

So after many weeks of doing research for a small amp I found this amp that fitted my needs I looked at reviews and watched youtube videos on this amp from AIYIMA and every review is positive and gives great reviews so I took the plunge and thought I would give it a go.

I ordered this amp around 2 weeks ago on AliExpress and it said it could take months to come and for the price this did not bother me to much as I still need to get all the other items to finish of the setup. To my surprise the amp was delivered last week and come very quick very impressed with the seller on AliExpress.

The main purpose of purchasing this amp is for the audio on the editing in FINAL CUT PRO when I edit videos and also for some viewing on youtube and a bit of music when editing pictures in photoshop

So I have added some pictures of how the item came and whats in the box.

Delivery packaging from china I have turned it upside down as it has my personal details on the stickers.

After opening the delivery packaging you will get a plain cardboard box with no markings or any designs on it.

The packaging is not bad all the items inside are secure and well packed with foam.

Inside you will find the AMP , POWER CABLE , POWER BLOCK , OPTICAL CABLE ,USB CABLE , BLUETOOTH ANTENNA and a product information leaflet.

This is all the items out the box and what you get still with all there own packaging on.

This AIYIMA AMP comes with a remote in the box with power button vol up and down a mute button some bas and tre up and down buttons along with a mode button.

This is the power cable and power block UK I ordered with the unit.

This is the blue computer USB cable that comes in the box not used as I use a sound card with my setup and a TC ELECTRONIC volume controller that is now running through the amp via the firewire port on the IMAC.

This is the optical cable and the Bluetooth antenna that comes in the box the cable I will not need .

Top view of the AIYIMA AMP its not a bad quality build on this small amp it has some weight to it even though it is small.

This is the front view of the AIYIMA AMP on the front there is a volume control and power buttons with a display screen it is plain design but I like this as it sits at the moment under the IMAC and does not look intrusive on the desk.

This is the back of the AIYIMA AMP the connections you see are the speaker blocks and a subwoofer port / coax port a AUX left and right the optical port and the USB port along with the power AC input .

This image is of the amp under the IMAC up and running I have connected the B&W speakers via the speaker binding posts and the sound source comes via the back of the IMAC via the fire wire cable and then out the sound in to the TC Electronic volume controller in to the amp via XLR leads in to PHONO cables.

Am I happy with this purchase ?

In a nut shell YES very happy with this product from ordering it to the delivery time and cost.

This AIYIMA D03 amp is a powerful little amp and has a great sound you couldn't ask for a better amp for the money in my opinion this suits every need for a desk top sound with this setup I have. You can crank up the volume and have a amazing sound with this speaker combo the B&W M1s and a RELL SUB is more than enough for a desk top setup.
