"Beautiful Little Orange Mushrooms: Shooting Process in the Forest"

Today, I'm back with a very special photo to share with the Photography Lovers community. As usual, I intend to hunt for some beautiful mushrooms in the forest near my house, hoping to find natural uniqueness that can be immortalized through my camera lens. This time, luck was on my side when I found a group of small mushrooms with a slightly orange color that caught my attention.

This fungus grows on rotting areca leaves, creating an interesting color contrast between the orange of the fungus and the dark brown of the rotting leaves. The size of this mushroom is very small, even smaller than my index finger. Its tiny size presents its own challenges in the shooting process, but this is where the joy of a macro photographer comes in — capturing small details that are not always visible to the naked eye.

Shooting Process:

The first step I took was to photograph the mushroom without using a macro lens, to show how small the size of this mushroom is compared to its surrounding environment. This provides good perspective and helps highlight how amazing the small details are in the natural world.

here I use a small lamp for maximum lighting.

After that, I attached a macro lens to capture finer details. To maximize results, I also use additional lighting with lamps, considering that natural light in the forest is often inadequate, especially in darker corners under the trees. The light helps the small mushrooms to be seen more clearly and shows off their texture and orange color better.
Well, here you can see very clearly that this mushroom is very small, even smaller than my finger.

I found two mushrooms that caught my eye. The first one stood up straight, looking very sturdy even though it was small, while the second one was slightly bent, as if bowing downwards. These two mushroom positions provide interesting visual variations — one shows strength, while the other displays the soft and fragile side of nature.

The final result:

After several shots, I finally got the results I wanted. With the help of a macro lens and the right lighting, every detail of this tiny mushroom is visible very clearly — from the smooth texture on the surface of the stem to the unique shape of its umbrella. The orange color also comes out perfectly, creating an interesting visual effect when you look closely.

The different positions of the two mushrooms add depth to the image, as if they are telling the story of two different characters in nature. One that is straight and strong, and one that is slightly curved, adding a dynamic element to my photos.
