Mushroom Walk in My Village

There's nothing more pleasant during the rainy season than how easy it is to find mushrooms growing everywhere. Yeah, it's like seeing flowers blooming in spring.

Of course, not just anywhere can mushroom grow. You only need to direct your eyes to places that are damp or shady from sun exposure.

These are the mushrooms I captured at a local resident's garden. It's not far from my house.

These mushrooms have pale brown caps. I think it's Psathyrella sp. , a species of basidiomycete fungus belonging to the family Psathyrellaceae.

The mushroom has a thin cap with a hollow stem. Although this mushroom is not poisonous, it is not edible.

Apart from Psathyrella mushrooms, I also found some Marasmiellus mushrooms growing on rotting wood. It has a milky white cap with gills that resemble Apem cake, one of the most famous culinary in Indonesia.
