The first curiosities of Rover Perseverance (EN - CAST) Las primeras curiosidades de Rover Perseverance

We already have the first panoramic of the place where Perseverance landed, also some images, some of them taken with the powerful zoom of this Rover that is really amazing.

This is the first 360-degree panorama taken by the Mastcam-Z consisting of a pair of zoom cameras aboard the Rover Perseverance, the panorama was achieved by joining 142 individual images taken on the third sun or third Martian day, corresponding to the 21 February, a Martian day is a little longer than a terrestrial one, it lasts about 24 hours and 37 minutes, the images that are arriving are available on the mission website and in them we can also appreciate the power of the Perseverance zoom, such as for example, with this rock carved by the wind or with this small hill that seems to be formed by layers of materials, perhaps sediments from the delta of the old river.

In the images you can also see a panorama of the mountains that form the wall of the Jecero crater rim, the place of landing and exploration of the rover, and these are the first sounds captured by Perseverance, which are not as some media say. communication, the first sounds captured on the red planet, NASA's Honda Insight captured in 2018 the sound of the wind, in this case it is Perseverance, we can also hear the sound of the wind, specifically a Martian breeze.

The Perseverance parachute was one of the elements that attracted the most attention in the videos, it had a beautiful drawing with asymmetric colors whose purpose was to measure the orientation of the parachute, but the design also hid a message that has been discovered by a fan of the science in social networks, the parachute has patterns with a special drawing in orange and white that caught the attention of some science fans, since they suspected it must represent something and it was, it was not one but two mathematical keys, a binary code of zeros and a few keys that were confirmed by members of JPL, the acronym for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the inside is spelled as "dare to mighty things" which is the motto of JPL , while the outer band of the parachute provides the gps coordinates of the laboratory facilities, located in southern california where the rover was built and administered ra this Martian mission.
