My nerd jewelery collection – La mia collezione di gioielli nerd

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

said Marilyn Monroe.

I've always been fascinated by necklaces, earrings, rings and everything related to jewelry, but I find that those without meaning are a bit boring.

That's why today I would like to share with you some photos of my favorites, the science-themed ones, especially chemistry and biology! Some I bought them and others I made them.

I hope you enjoy them!

The first necklace represents the caffeine molecule, a purine alkaloid found in many drinks of daily consumption: coffee, tea, ginseng, cocoa, Coca-Cola, ...

This, on the other hand, is a bracelet to which I am very attached, as my yoga teacher gave it to me before she left for a long journey to discover India. Since then, I haven't seen her in person yet, even though we keep in touch.

The bracelet is made by composing various elements of the periodic table: Beryllium, Potassium, Iodine and Neodymium to form the phrase "Be kind".

Next up is a nice set of necklace and earrings that has the molecule of life as its subject: DNA.

It is a macromolecule made up of many smaller units which are called nucleotides. A single nucleotide contains 3 structures: a sugar, a phosphate group and a nitrogen base. DNA contains the individual's entire genetic heritage.

It is a privilege to be able to wear such an important molecule!

As a chemistry lover, a necklace that represented a laboratory flask could not be missing!

41h.jpg

For last birthday, I received this pendant for the well-known "Pandora" bracelet, which is supposed to represent an electrocardiogram.

I must say that it is not very faithful to the true ECG, but I really appreciated the gesture!

The golden section is a relationship well known to mathematicians but also to artists. It is also called "divine proportion".

It represents the number 1.6180339887… obtained from the ratio of two different lengths, of which the greater is an average proportional between the shorter length and the sum of the two measures. If you want to learn more, I leave you this link where there is a clear explanation of the concept.

And here is the necklace that represents a small golden section to always carry with you:

A presto,

Delilha

Thank you! :)
I really appreciate biology, I think it's one of the most important science to understand the life 😍 it's always nice to meet other science enthusiasts!
I wish you a beautiful day and thanks for your comment :)

Great jewellery...Actually i like first two jewellery the necklace and bracelet are really great...It looks about chemistry and a little bit maybe biology...and earrings is also good...with dna shape...Are you a chemist, biologist or teacher? :)

i love watches, especially old ones...not too old...watches which were made in between 1950-1989 attract my attention...

Have a nice day...

Actually I'm just an university student for now. I study pharmacy, a discipline that has a lot of chemistry but is also attentive to human health and biology. My dream is to work on drug research!

I love watches, especially old ones

True, they are very beautiful. I'm fascinated by those of the Victorian Era who kept in the jacket pockets.

Thank you for your comment, have a nice day! :)

Very cool and surprising ... and looks good too. :) I wasn't aware that these shapes exist in jewelry. Now that I saw them, I'm surprised that the " molecule pieces " are not more widespread :) great shapes and themes for design. Every one surely has a favorite molecule to wear around the neck.

Grazie e !BEER
