Here is a GrapheneOS review+ installation guide I'm no security expert. But Snowden recommends it. Only downside is you are going to need a Google Pixel phone for the GrapheneOS installation.

That is indeed a downside. Google Pixel phones are expensive, not available in most countries, and might have backdoors embedded on its firmware.

I do want to try GrapheneOS though.

Which smartphones are most likely to not have backdoors?

Smartphones that are most likely (but not guaranteed) not to have backdoors are those built by small organizations that are nonprofit and are highly transparent in their activities. Those devices would be more expensive though, as they are custom-made.

Is GrapheneOS in any way related to the concept of a Graphene blockchain?

I don't think so. Before GrapheneOS got its name, it was called CopperheadOS. No mention of a blockchain is in GrapheneOS's history.

Isn't it better to edit a comment than to make a new one just for corrections? Just my opinion.

None whatsoever. I don't know how GrapheneOS got its name. One is an OS based Android, the other is one of the best developments in blockchain. Maybe they both were simply inspired by the abilities of Graphene as a substance.
