Is Bitcoin very volatile? Yes, yes it is. Does Bitcoin mining uses too much electricity. Yes, yes it does. But is Bitcoin destructive to the environment? Definitely not. That honor goes to gold and precious metal mining. https://bit.ly/3s1HJE9

One of the arguments critics of Bitcoin liked to use was the effect of Bitcoin mining in the environment. Certainly, mining uses a lot of electricity but saying it's destructive to the environment is pushing it too far. Compared to gold mining, Bitcoin mining is more eco-friendly

Well with all the renewable energy sources improving, I think energy costs will go down and it will definitely be more safer. I am of the opinion that energy will be more abundant due to technological advances in the future so it will less of an issue.

They bring up valid points though, "Carbon emission..." But it's not the worst thing humanity is doing...

Blockchain by itself is not so bad but it is the use of PoW and PoS that are not environment friendly.... But there are many low cost alternatives coming up , so I guess the carbon emission problem would be solved in the future.

I believe so too... I'm sure they don't understand this part though:

Or maybe, they hate BTC & they're sure their readers don't understand that part...

Yeah! I think they are just trying to get rid of bitcoin because of the "transparent" payments. Also because they are worried if their fiat currency might lose "value" if everyone switches to cryptos

Exactly! These critics are just using carbon emission as an excuse. Once that's out of the equation these critics would most likely just move the goal post.

Carbon emission is indeed true but that's because China, where the majority of Bitcoin miners is still very dependent on coal. If China uses other energy source, carbon emission would no longer be an issue. What I'm trying to say is that the "pollutant" from Bitcoin mining depends on fuel or energy source that the miners are using.
