Cooling homes while protecting the environment? Sign me up! Transaera, a startup company plans to use a class of materials called metal organic frameworks or MOFs to create air-conditioners with 5 times less impact to the environment compared to traditionally used materials.

Sounds nice. I wonder how the efficiency and costs of it compares to existing ACs. It will probably be a huge deciding factor for people to buy.

This looks awesome.
We defined to reduce our environmental impacts to save Mother Earth.
I hope they have a plan for mass production and distribution.
Is it going to be cheaper or expensive compared to traditional one ?

It's a relatively new technology so it should be more expensive but since you could save on the electricity bill the it should be cheaper in the long run.
