Imagine all the energy that those solar panels are generating. It is so good to see green power. By the way, it would be also good if people would utilize wind and water energy more. Combining solar panels with wind turbines and water turbines could give free energy to everyone.

First time I hear about floating Solar Panels too... Then again, I don't see Solar Panels in my area (Tripoli/Libya) despite having good sunlight most days/every season.

Sad to hear that. Those places will be good for harvesting sun for sure. Hope in the future it will became popular. Maybe it can be because of the price but there are also cheaper panels so idk.

I think it's more about the culture & political situation. While Libya is now safer than it was in 2019 we're still in a cold civil war. (Worse than a cold non-civil war.)

I think if someone openly equipped solar panels in their homes... A domino effect happens, everyone buys!

It sure is interesting. The solar plants are on water so it doesn't obstruct people's daily lives and it also optimizes the angle to get the most energy. It is too bad that the ones mentioned tend to be in Asia and not in North America.

They should be in more places for sure and since they are on water I think it will be possible to also generate energy from the water. I am not sure but I think I already saw some innovation like that they can make energy from waves I think.

Yea kinetic energy isn't anything new and if we can use the energy carried along with waves, we could have even more energy production. I am just wondering whether or not it is optimal to add that to the existing solar farms.
