I was looking up #cryptotab after getting recommended such #mining application for a while.
I found out it's using "server-dependent mining" on mobile...
So, ...what's server-dependent mining?

I found this site while researching something about it. I think you should look into this thoroughly. It could be some kind of scam or something harmful.

Thanks for the link.
But it's different. There are websites that have codes that make your PC mine crypto for them, as long as the site is open. This article you gave me talks about them.
Cryptotab uses your PC to mine crypto willingly, so that's a bit different.

For many months I was using CryptoTabs on my laptop. It's a Chrome-type browser, and all that implies. It works OK as a web browser. As for bitcoin mining, I'm still not at USD 1.00. If you can build a network of referrals, you may be able to mine BTC faster. If not, then it will take a long time to mine USD 1-worth of BTC.

You're using it for months and haven't reached $1 yet?
