Once I heard about Dopamine Fasting... I never tried it but I believed I needed it right now.

Until I read this: https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/dopamine-fasting-misunderstanding-science-spawns-a-maladaptive-fad-2020022618917

Still think I need to do something...

I think "dopamine fasting" or no matter what is called can be quite helpful.

The key really though is to just Be, to be in the present moment, no matter what the body does.

Being present, eg. of what the body is doing (playing a game, eating, posting on #Hive, reading #dbuzz's etc :-), being aware of each in and out breath, of the bodily sensations, of the sounds, scents and what we see, whilst re-membering mentally our (concept of) true self, who we really are (not this body, not these thoughts or emotions, unborn, undying, the background of stillness from which all things appear), can lead to experiential self-realization, being at one with the one true self, content and peaceful, aware of all feelings, in joy.

Sitting in stillness and silence, for 15 minutes upon rising and again before sleeping will for sure help us be more and more present in each moment. And as there is only this moment (the past and future being merely projections of the mind, i'ts the best (illusory) place and time to be :-)

I'm happy to pass in some excellent resources if you like. One for instance is Insight Timer, a meditation app, super helpful and free. On playstore, hopefully soon on a FOSS store!

Namaste

Oh, and fasting from food for extended periods of time (and ultimately from liquids too), whilst purifying the body (with techniques such as colon cleansing, rebounding, breath work, yoga etc.) and the mind (meditation, present moment awareness, emotional integration "work" eg. The Presence Process, can all be excellent tools to bring clarity to mind and body, leading us back home to source.
