The technological corner, Water Filter.
That photograph was taken in December 2019, when I went to visit my mother's house as I do every year in December. and I can attest that it still works.
We can call this filter a technology artifact ..?
Can we say that this filter is an artifact of technology ..?
What do you think.?
This is my question, but as I ask the question, I also allow myself to give my opinion.
I say that it is definitely technology, and as I have mentioned in other publications and I repeat it repeatedly, any device that serves to help mankind make life easier can be considered technology.
This filter is of course a predecessor of old water filters, we all know that water filters have been used throughout history to improve the safety and aesthetics of water intended to be used for drinking and also in others. cases it can be used for cooking and even bathing.
Through photographs I have seen how they were some clay jars that filtered the water, this filter is a little more modern, it is ceramic, it has two filter plugs (Stone) used to filter the water from pathogens and soil residues that are in the water and can protect us from some diseases.
This filter was bought in 1932 by my grandfather, it is currently in good condition and is still used in the house where my mother lives.
This is something so basic technology that serves to purify water for human consumption.
Do you have any technological device of this type in your home ..?
The whiskey bottles that can be seen in the background are empty. LOL
