I Have a Google Tabs Problem

I got no clue why but I never seem to close my Browser Tabs and at any given moment I have literally 100s of tabs open in my browser. Among those 100s of tabs, a few are of Youtube videos that I couldn't find the time to watch, and then we have my Defi's which I watch once every couple of days, and many more. But I somehow can't seem to close any of my tabs at all. Yes, once in a while when my PC crashes the tabs get closed but still I have the restore tabs option which allows me to restore them so I am back to square one.

This is a problem of mine that I cant seem to resolve at all and it is not just confined to my desktop as my Browser on my Smartphone has a similar situation. So it has been made sure that this is something that I have control over but for some reason, I am unable to control it. Yes, it is true that I only keep those tabs open that I have worked with but still 100s of tabs is definitely not a good number to have opened in a browser. It takes a lot of RAM and sometimes even goes 100% capacity so this is something that I am really trying to stop but I got no idea how I should do that. So any suggestions will be more than appreciated.
